The Rev. Jose A. Aviles Jr. of Uvalde died on June 12, 2008, in the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 49.
Aviles was born on Oct. 23, 1958, in Uvalde to Jose Sr. and Julia Aviles.
He is survived by his parents; three sisters, Sister Dolores Aviles of Uvalde, Ana Decious and husband, Paul, and Mary Aviles, all of Mount Pleasant; two brothers, Mike Aviles and John Aviles and wife, Patsy, all of Uvalde; and numerous nieces and nephews.
