Hazel I. Hawkins, 100, 2005 W 250 N, Lebanon, died Saturday at Parkwood Health Care Center, Lebanon.

She was born April 4, 1895, in Paris, Ill., daughter of Sam and Hattie Dittamore Metheny. She married James H. Hawkins June 30, 1915, in Danville, Ill.; he died July 21, 1985.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Lebanon and was past president of the C. R. C. Club, Lebanon.

Survivors include daughters Mildred Mills, Danville, Ill. and Rebecca Brown, Camarillo, Calif.; a son, John S. Hawkins, Shorewood, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Her parents, a sister and two great-grandsons are deceased.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday with visitation from noon to 1 p.m., at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, Lebanon, the Revs. Raymond Duff and Dale Suggs officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon.

Michael Nehs Jr, 1730-1815, father of Elizabeth Nehs, served also in the REV WAR and is buried at St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Greene Co., Tennessee. He was married to Elizabeth Margaretha Zirkle. Both Pennsylvania Militia and Virginia.
