She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Bientz; one son, Richard Joseph Uphaus and one daughter, Paula Marie Uphaus.
She is survived by her husband, Cephus L. Rattliff of Cecilia; one son, Robert S. Uphaus and wife Ruth of Fisherville; one step-son, Michael Douglas Rattliff and wife Karen of Indiana; three daughters, Barbara A. Covington and husband Daniel, Sr. of Richmond, TX, Donna Abney and husband Kenny of Louisville and Catherine M. Tronzo and husband Albert of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Matt, Paula, Joseph, Ric, Rich, Dana, Daniel, Jr. and Mike and five great grandchildren, Alex, Drew, Ty, Ethan and Corey.

RATTLIFF - Dorothy "Dottie" Elizabeth, 78, of Cecilia, KY, died peacefully Monday, June 16, 2008 at Norton Audubon Hospital surrounded by family and friends. She was a native of Louisville and retired from Joseph E. Seagrams Inc. She attended the House of Prayer Lutheran. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Bientz; one son, Richard Joseph Uphaus; and one daughter, Paula Marie Uphaus. She is survived by her husband, Cephus L. Rattliff, of Cecilia; one son, Robert S. Uphaus and wife, Ruth, of Fisherville; one stepson, Michael Douglas Rattliff and wife, Karen, of Indiana; three daughters, Barbara A. Covington and husband, Daniel Sr., of Richmond, TX, Donna Abney and husband, Kenny, of Louisville and Catherine M. Tronzo and husband, Albert, of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Matt, Paula, Joseph, Ric, Rich, Dana, Daniel Jr. and Mike; and five great-grandchildren, Alex, Drew, Ty, Ethan and Corey. The funeral is 10 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home, with Rev. Linda Barnes-Popham officiating. Chapel service will follow noon at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to House of Prayer in Elizabethtown.
