Clyde - Mrs. Ocie F.Hoy, 79, of 3 W. DeZeng Street, died today at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday at the Pusateri-Murphy and Sinclair Funeral Home Inc., Clyde.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. William Jenkins, pastor of the Clyde United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery, Cortland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Clyde United Methodist Church or to a charity of one's choice.
The Vandenberg Charter 198, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold services at 7:45 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hoy was born February 17, 1903, in Etna Green, Indiana, the daughter of Lewis and Mary Hoover Shively. Her husband, Alfred E., died in 1975. She was a resident of Clyde since 1939 and was a past matron of Vandenberg Charter 198, Order of the Eastern Star, of Clyde and she was a member of the Clyde United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death are her parents; a son, William Eugune and a daughter, Virginia Eileen, both in infancy, a brother, Robert Dale Shively in 1931; and a granddaughter, Marleigh Ann Hoy in 1976.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Winifred) Barnes of Clyde and Mrs. John (Eva) Haelen of Rochester; and one son, Daniel L. (Jane) of Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one uncle and several cousins.
