Mrs. Phipps died Friday at Ward Memorial Hospital in Monahans after a lengthy illness. She was born March 8, 1901 in Hunt County.
Mrs. Phipps, a homemaker, had lived in Monahans since 1955. She was a member of Third and Dwight Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughter, Helen Stephens of Odessa and Mildred Dixon of Monahans; four sons, Dean Phipps, Rondal Phipps and Calvin Phipps, all of Monahans and Carrrol Phipps of Abilene; 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements."
