Obit: Monahans News "Minnie Phipps Monahans - Services for Minnie Viola Phipps, 89, of Monahans are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Third and Dwight Church of Christ with David Boggs and Ferman Kurley officiating.
Burial will be in Monahans Cemetery.
Mrs. Phipps died Friday at Ward Memorial Hospital in Monahans after a lengthy illness. She was born March 8, 1901 in Hunt County.
Mrs. Phipps, a homemaker, had lived in Monahans since 1955. She was a member of Third and Dwight Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughter, Helen Stephens of Odessa and Mildred Dixon of Monahans; four sons, Dean Phipps, Rondal Phipps and Calvin Phipps, all of Monahans and Carrrol Phipps of Abilene; 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements."
