CHITTENDEN MARY ELEANOR "MOLLIE" Passed away peacefully at home, age 106, on March 4, 2003. Beloved wife of the late George Chittenden. Devoted mother of the late Catherine Lohmeier and the late Edward Chittenden. Loving grandmother of Frank Lohmeier Jr., Susan Kellogg, Edward Chittenden, and Teresa Tomlin. Great-grandmother of Erin and Daniel Kellogg, Sarah and Jessica Lohmeier, and Dylan, Will and Paige Chittenden. Dear sister of the late Elizabeth Pigott of San Francisco, and the late Jane and Kate O'Hara of Ireland. Also survived by son-in-law Frank Lohmeier, grand-daughters-in-law Leslie Lohmeier and Barry Chittenden and grandson-in-law Steven Kellogg. Grandma Mollie was born in County Leitrim, Ireland on August 5, 1896. She came to America as a teenager. She met George in California and was married to him for 62 years. Her greatest joy in life was having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren around her. She experienced three centuries. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2003 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 1 Notre Dame Avenue in San Mateo. Entombment at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo.
