Jeffrey P. Spray, 18, of 10200 Turkey Hollow Road, near Taylor Ridge, died at 2:05 p.m. yesterday in Franciscan Hospital as a result of injuries suffered in a single vehicle accident on 140th St. W. west of Andalusia, on Oct. 24. Funeral services for Mr. Spray will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, Rock Island. Dr. John W. Collins, pastor, and the Rev. Sandra O'Bert of the First United Methodist Church, Moline, will officiate, and burial will be in Illinois City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hodgson Funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thurdday.
Memorials may be made to the Future Farmers of America. Rockridge Chapter, or to the First United Methodist Church, rock Island, Youth Program.
Mr. Spray was born March 20, 1958, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, the son of Max and Sandra Powell Spray. He received his education in Milan and was a 1976 graduate of Rockridge High School. He had resided at his present address for the past seven years, and prior to that he had lived in Milan.
He was employed at the Daryl Kadel farm, Buffalo Prairie, Ill. He was a membr of the First United Methodist Church, Rock Island, a member of the Future Farmrs of America, Rockridge Chapter, and a member of the Rock Island county Farm Bureau.
Surviving are his parents; a sister, Lisa and a brother, Michael, both at home and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Powell, Illinois City.
