Hi,I see you have a little information on Marie Walters in the Point Pleasant cemetery near Marietta - and was wondering if you can put some more in to complete some information and maybe credit me with obtaining the obit. etc of Marie Haffner Walters.

Mrs Marie Walters, 75, of Bushnell Dies-

Mrs Marie C. Walters, 75, of 175 W. Davis St. Bushnell, died Monday at Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Bushnell. The Rev. James Weiss will officiate with burial in Point Pleasant cemetery near Marietta. Friends may call and visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8:30 p. m. at the Martin-Hollis Funeral home in Bushnell.

Mrs Walters was born at New Philadelphia on January 2, 1896, the daughter of Ord and Mary Frances Lance Haffner. On Dec 21, 1915, she married Earl Walters, of Macomb. He died in October 1944. She attended Point Pleasant rural schools and was a member of the United Methodist church and the Christian Links Sunday School Class.

Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Geneva Buchen of Memphis, Mo., Mrs. Maxine Jennings, Mrs. Vivian Lantz, Dale Walters and Lyle Walters all of Bushnell, Mrs. Shirley Beaird of Ipava, and Cecil Walters of Bettendorf, Iowa; three brothers, Blake and Floyd Haffner, both of Prairie City and Gail Haffner of Good Hope ; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Oller of Bushnell, Mrs Frances Hutchins of Macomb and Mr. Lulu Sensabaugh of Abingdon; 27 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and one step great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Mrs. Helen Higby and an infant, and two sisters, Mrs. Idella Thompson and Mrs. Florene Thomson.
