The October 9 death date was taken from his death certificate, so I'm not sure if the 8 on the stone or the 9 is correct.
Son of Alden Jasper Cooper and Mary Jane Vassar. His siblings were twins Sarah & Martha born in 1852, Melissa Ann, John Vassar, Locky Caroline, James B., twin brother George W., Manerva Jane, William Center, Robert Hatton, Bert D., and Ada Tennessee. He married Ida Lee Hembree in 1894.
