The October 4, 1904 edition of The Robesonian included the following: A Young Life Closes...News reached us Saturday of the death of Mrs. Mac Bracey, which occurred at her home at Rowland Friday morning about four o'clock, after a severe attack of typhoid fever. She is a daughter of Mr. John Leitch; and was married in December 1903 to Mr. Mac Bracey who is in the brick business at Rowland. She was held in high esteem, and was much loved by a circle of friends for her sweet and gentle disposition. We report her death with sincere regret and extend heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved young husband and parents, sisters and brother, who survive to mourn their loss.
