EDINBURGH -- Mary L. Burton, 96, of Edinburgh died at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 1998, at Extendacare of Franklin.
She was a member of Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, with the Revs. Mark Polston and Homer Whited officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Burton was born in Adair County, Ky., March 24, 1902, the daughter of Marcus D. and Louellen Redman McQueary. She married Ogel Burton Jan. 30, 1921. He died Jan. 5, 1986.
She is survived by sons, Elbert Burton of Cincinnati, Raymond and Ralph Burton, both of Edinburgh, Lewis Burton of Florida and Rollin Burton of North Carolina; daughters, Arlena Harmon of Cincinnati and Lula McGaha of Franklin; a sister, Veney Adams of Columbus; 32 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lester Burton.
