ELIZABETH CITY - Sadie Brice O'Neal, 81, died Monday, July 17, in Sentara Nursing Home in Barco. She was a native of Currituck and was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late George F. Brice and Leebarcia Morse Brice and the widow of Alvah E. O'Neal.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Frances O. Beasley of Kill Devil Hills, Sadie O. Bateman of Elizabeth City and Carol O. Johnson of Suffolk, Va.; two sisters: Rose Lapenski of Hertford and Sue Gaskins of Coinjock; one brother: George Brice of Coinjock; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Graveside services will be conducted in Austin Cemetery on July 19. Twiford's Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements.
