Mrs. Ellen E. Varney died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Gale, of Farmington
in New Hampshire.
Mrs. Varney had enjoyed excellent health
up to a short time before her death, and life seemed promising for her, when she was suddenly taken with an ill turn a week ago Friday, and on Saturday last she had another attack, that proved fatal.
Mrs. Varney possessed a cultivated mind, well stored with information of the passing events of her life. She lived many years at the family residence on High Street in Danvers, where she had the respect a love of her associates.
