The funeral for Kenneth A. Knutson will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at LeRoy Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Thomas Kolden officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Pleasant Grove. Mr. Knutson, 32, of LeRoy, died Thursday (June 26, 2008), in a motorcycle accident near Wykoff. Kenneth Allen Knutson was born Oct. 29, 1975, in Rochester. On Aug. 12, 2006, he married Amanda Loven at LeRoy Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mr. Knutson attended several area schools, and in 1998 went to Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Phoenix, Ariz. He graduated in February 2000 at the top of his class with perfect attendance. He then worked for Engelhart's in Madison, Wis., as a mechanic for two years before returning home. For the past 4 1/2 years he had been employed by McNeilus in McIntire and Riceville, both in Iowa. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing guitar, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Wanda Knutson-Wesseling of Lime Springs, Iowa; his father, Randy Christopherson of Hayfield; two sisters, Heather Knutson and Kimberly Lawson, both of Lime Springs; his maternal grandmother, Betty Knutson of Marion; and his paternal grandmother, Doris Hanson of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kenneth Knutson and LeVerne Christopherson. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at LeRoy Evangelical Lutheran Church, and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church. Hindt Funeral Home of LeRoy is in charge of arrangements.
