Mrs. Jewell B. Dillard, age 93 of Talking Rock, passed away at her residence Tuesday morning, June 17, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bruce and Donnie Heaton Henry, husband, James Arthur Dillard, son Kenneth D Dillard and great grandson Bryan Edward Long. Survivors include her daughters, Betty Banks, Talking Rock, and Pauline Dillard, Ellijay; and grandchildren, Cheryl Sams, Randy Banks, Gail Arp, Gary Banks, all of Talking Rock, Jean Hancock and Debra Young, both of Jasper, William Dillard, Ellijay, Kathy Long, Morganton, Kevin Dillard, Canton, and Shannon Miller, Carrollton. Ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 19 at 12 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Ga. Pallbearers are: Randy and Gary Banks, Gary, Jason and Dustin Hancock and Dave Arp. The family will accept flowers, or donations may be made to Georgia Mountains Hospice, 70 Caring Way, Jasper, Ga. 30143.
