Billie Garner of Waco, co-founder of Garner Optical, died Sunday at her home. She was 68.

Services: 10am Tuesday at Gholson Baptist Church, the Rev. Vaughn Weatherford officiating. Burial: Moore Cemetery, Chalk Bluff.

Mrs. Garner was born October 25, 1923, in Jacksonville and was reared and attended school in the Huntsville area. She married Roy E. Garner on July 31, 1965, in Bryan.

Mrs. Garner had lived in the Waco area the past 19 years and was a member of Gholson Baptist Church.

Survivors: husband, Roy E. Garner of Waco, daughter, Charlcie Turnmire of Waco; two stepdaughters, Georgia Faircloth and Katherine Steffens, both of Phoenix AZ; a stepson, Glynn Garner of Phoenix, AZ; three sisters, Jo Douglas of Houston, Maud Kash of Austin and Elizabeth Hale of West; eight grandchildren.
