Greenview, Oct. 21. - Mrs. Thomas Pond, 72, wife of a retired prominent farmer, died at her home in Greenview Tuesday afternoon following a lingering illness.
A native of Menard county, she was always interested in church circles.
Survivors are the husband; one daughter, Miss Florence, supervisor of nursing for a student group in Paris, France, who recently returned to care for her mother; two sons, Harry, of California; and Earle, of Quincy; one sister, Miss Emma Hardin, of Greenview; two brothers, Charles of Greenview; and Wallace, of Flat Rock.
Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian church.
Burial was in Elmwood cemetery.
