STAR CITY -- Garland James Manes, 62, of Star City, died Tuesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff.
He was born May 14, 1942, in Lonoke County, a son of Flora Pemberton Tarlton of Star City and the late George Asbury Manes.
He was a factory worker at School Apparel at Star City.
He was a member of the Assembly of God church.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Port Jones Manes, L.J. Manes, Clyde Manes and Curt Manes.
Other survivors include his wife, Barbara Manes; three sons, Glen Wrinkle, Daniel Wrinkle and Eddie Manes, all of Star City; two daughters, Garla Lawson of Grover Beach, Calif., and Sheila Magness of Star City; one brother, George "Juke" Manes of Star City; one stepsister, Virginia "Ann" Simmons of Varner; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Griffin Funeral Service of Star City with Don Borland officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Star City.
