The Rev John Ahart, 84, of Cadiz died Tuesday at his home.
He was a retired minister serving churches in Trigg, Lyon, Calloway, Hickman, Livingston and Graves counties. He was a US Army World War II and Korean War veteran and a member of Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Murl Noel Ahart; two daughters, Lavana Underhill and Beverly Underhill, both of Cadiz; one brother, Conley Ahart of Peoria, Ill; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Johnnie Steven Ahart; two brothers; and four sisters. His parents were WIlliam and Myrtle Bratton Ahart.
Services will be at 2 pm Friday at Cadiz Baptist Church with the Revs Norman Cotton and Kevin Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Ahart Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
