Adele Caroline Haddock, 94 of Joplin, MO died Wednesday, July 1, 2008, at the Meadow Care Nursing Home in Joplin.
She was born February 3, 1914 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Wilhemina Bucholz and Joseph A Schallet. She worked as a clerk in Stotts Pharmacy in Pierce City, MO. She was a member of Stones Prairie Church and St. Lutheran Church, Purdy, MO.
She married Laverne Haddock on June 26, 1936 in Buffalo, MO. and he preceded her in death in November 1966.
Survivors include two sons, Don Haddock, Franklin, IN, and Gary Haddock, Columbus, KS, a daughter Barbara Mooney, Huston, TX and seven grandchildren.
Preeced in death by two brothers, Lester and Oscar Schallert, two sisters, Helen Fury and Wilma Worm, a son-in-law, Tom D. Mooney and a great-grandson, Thomas Jones.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 3, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Buchanan Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 4 p.m. at New Site Cemetery, Monett, MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buchanan Funeral HOme Monett, MO.
