Melba O. Vines
Funeral for Melba O. Vines, 77, formerly of Courtland, will be Thursday, June 1, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Nix and the Rev. Brad Eakes officiating.
Burial will be in Fergason Cemetery in Hatton. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Miss Vines passed away on Monday, May 29, 2006, at NHC Healthcare of Moulton. She was born July 14, 1928, in Lawrence County to Alger Hollis Vines and Larcie "Susie" NeSmith Vines. She retired as a cottage parent from Lurleen B. Wallace Center. Two sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sisters, Mossie (Mrs. Russell) Counts and Evelyn (Mrs. Paul) Nichols, both of Decatur; one aunt, Glapha Dawson of Hatton; seven nieces and a nephew.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
