He was born Dec. 2, 1921 in Caldwell County to Lewis L. and Nannie Kelly Crump.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Hunter Crump, Jasper Crump, Thomas Crump, Garland (Bill) Crump, John Crump and Arthur Crump; four sisters, Elizabeth (Jade) Corpening, Almeater (Moe) Cannon, Lucille Crump and Annie Crump.
Mr. Crump was a retired plumber.
He was a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church.
Eugene fought in World War II in the U.S. Army.
He was a charter member of Collettsville Ruritan Club with 50 years perfect attendance.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Georgia Rhodes Crump of the home and numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment: Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
