ABDALAH, JOANNE M. (JOSEPHS), peacefully, on May 27, 2008, at home in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania. Wife of Very Rev. John Abdalah.

Mother of Gregory, Joseph and Maria; daughter of Matilda Josephs of Lincoln and the late Louis; sister of Mary Lou Catelli and her husband Bill of Lincoln, Lois Kilsey and her husband George and their children Mary and Christopher of Lincoln and Dr. Leon Josephs and his wife Judy and their children Kathryn, Robert and Michael of Easton, Ma.

Joanne was a social worker with Family Hospice and a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in Pittsburgh where she taught in the adult church school and sang in the choir; she was past president of the North American Board of the Antiochian Women; and was the first librarian of the Antiochian Village and an instructor at Westmoreland County Community College.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sunday School Building Fund of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 3400 Dawson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213-4314.
