Viola M. McIndoo, 75, of Nampa, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2001 at a Nampa hospital Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at 1 p.m. at the 1st United Methodist Church, 2717 12th Ave. Rd., Nampa.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Arrangements are under the direction of Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel (404 10th Ave. So., Nampa, ID 83651).
Viola M. McIndoo was born on August 15, 1925 in Marshfield, Missouri to John W. and Leona M. Graff Fothergill. She moved with her parents to Idaho when she was a child. She attended school in Nampa graduating from Nampa High School in 1943. She attended college at Colorado State College of Education in Greeley, CO graduating in 1947 with a B.A. Degree in elementary education. Viola began her teaching career in Nyssa, OR and continued teaching in the Treasure Valley area. On June 19, 1953 she married James E. McIndoo. They adopted two children, Kristie and Keith. She was a very active member of the Nampa 1st United Methodist Church, she loved singing in the choir. She also enjoyed volunteering at Mercy Medical Center Gift Shop. Viola's happiest moments were times spent with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all the lives that she touched. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and one brother. She is survived by her daughter Kris and husband Russ Clements of Caldwell and son Keith and Gail of Boise, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
