Text: Howard & Ethel Pacholke of 33524 Vine Street, celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary this past February 14th, 1988, at the home of their grandson Duane Pacholke of Rock Creek, Ohio. Howard and Ethel were married in Cleveland, on Valentine's Day in 1918. Their children are: Harold Pacholke of 646 Robin Drive in Eastlake, Wayne Pacholke of Rock Creek: Ethel Hannaford Roeder, deceased. They have thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. The Pacholke's have lived in Eastlake since the 1920's. Howard represents one of the "H's" in H & H Cycle of Eastlake. Howard claims that it was Ethel's delicious tasting egg salad sandwiches that brought them together. Howard was born in Cleveland on May 17, 1898. Ethel, nee Haylor, was born in Cleveland on November 21, 1898. One of her great-grandchildren, Stacy Pacholke, was born on her birthday. (Picture of couple is included with article) Ethel is the daughter of Wm "Edward" Haylor and Henrietta May.

Services for Ethel L. Pacholke, 92, of Eastlake, homemaker, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Davis Trust 100 Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. Mrs. Pacholke died Saturday at home. She was born Nov 21, 1898, in Cleveland. Survivors are her husband, Howard C.; sons Harold of Eastlake and Wayne of Rockcreek; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Ethel Pacholke, is deceased. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Barr T. Chittick of Bethel Lutheran Church in Willowick will officiate at services. Burial will be in Austinburg Cemetery. The fam,ily asks that no flowers be sent to the funeral home.
