DIED ON SATURDAY;
BURIAL BE SUNDAY
Mrs. M. S. Clayton, aged 72
years, died at her home, 616 South
Fifteenth street, Saturday morning.
Funeral services will be held
from the residence Sunday afternoon
at 2 o'clock with burial in
the Chatfield cemetery. The rites
will be conducted by Rev. C. R.
Haden, rector of the Episcopal
church.
Mrs. Clayton had been a resident
of Navarro county and Corsicana practically all of her life.
Sue moved to Chatfield from Ellis
county when a small child and
lived there many years before
moving to Corsicana. She was
the widow of M. S. Clayton, former
Navarro county sheriff.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
Charles H. Highnote, Corsicana;
a ulster, Mrs. R. L. Hodge, Chatfield;
a number of nephews and
nieces, and other relatives. She
was a sister of the late Dr. Will
Pannill.
Sutherland-McCammon will direct
the arrangements.
