Oro Grande is an unincorporated community in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California. It is at 3000 feet elevation in Victor Valley north of the San Bernardino mountain range. It is located on old Route 66 near Interstate 15 between Victorville and Barstow and began in the mid 1850s as a trading and supply post for mines in the area. Once gold started coming into play it grew in size. A cement factory was built there at the beginning of the 1900s and it is still in operation today.
The cemetery has a WWII war hero along with many that worked in the mines or the factory, and of course their children. If you google earth this location or click on the plot location down below, you can see the memorial star for Manuel Rodriguez in the bird's eye view of the location.
The cemetery is easy to reach and in good condition. It lies at the end of Olive St. off of the National Trails Highway/Route 66.
