Joe was the son of Samuel Clark & Joyce Irene (Smith) Lane. (they both preceded him in death)
He was the father of 13 children.
JEFFERSONVILLE -- Joseph Fitzgerald Lane, 57, died Friday at Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of New Albany, IN, a loss prevention manager for Value City Department Stores and an employee of Lumatech in Jeffersonville. He was a Marine veteran, a member of the FOP in Scottsburg, IN, the American Legion in Scottsburg, IN and a Teamster.

Survivors include his sons, James L. Lane of Jeffersonville, Joseph King Lane of Tacoma, WA, Joseph Lane of Salt Lake City, UT, Jeremiah B. Lane of Miami, FL and Thomas Rip Adkins of Washington State; three daughters, Niki Humus of Tacoma, WA, Dominic Barns of Tacoma and Jamie Starks of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Judy Mackie of Rolling Meadows, IL; brother, Jimmy Davis of Salem, IN; and nine grandchildren.

The body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Chapman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
