Mrs. Mattie Cunningham Dies at Home in Tilden

Services for Mrs. Mattie Cunningham of Tilden were held Wednesday afternoon from the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. O. A. Fortune, burial made in the Tilden cemetery.
Mattie Halsey Cunningham was born Nov. 7, 1875 in Independance, Virginia, and after a brief illness, passed away Dec. 3, 1933 at the age of 58 years and 26 days. She came to Battle Creek in 1890 with her parents and resided here until the fall of 1902, when the family moved to Tilden. She was married on Nov. 2, 1904 to Roscoe F. Cunningham of Tilden.
She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Francis Blackman, and one son, Howard Cunningham, all of Tilden. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Fred Simmons of Inman and Mrs. R. W. Ashburn of Tilden, and two brothers, Worth and Lee Halsey, both residing in Oregon.
