Nora Turner, age 86 died Monday, November 1, 1981 at the Royal Villa Nursing Home in New Lebanon, Ohio. She was a member of the Richfork Church of Christ and the Huffman Grange in Monroe County, Ohio. For the past 24 years, she had called Dayton her home and was a member of the Madison Grange in Trotwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Smith, sisters Jeanette (Net) Dougherty and Mabel May Nash and brothers Taylor B. Strickling,and J.J. (Bud) Strickling. Survivors include daughters Gladys S. Turpin (Devoe) of Clearwater, FL, Lucille Nelson and Ruth Nelson both of Trotwood, Ohio and Nina Ehmke of Buffalo, NY, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 PM Wednesday, November 3, 1981 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio. Pastor Charles Hendershot officiating. Interment was at Barber Ridge Cemetery. Viewing was at the Rogers Funeral Home in Trotwood on Tuesday, November 2, 1981 from 7-9 PM.
