Floyd M. "Curly" Hampton, age 81, of Ulysses, Kansas, died on December 9, 2005. He was born on December 8, 1924, in Grant County, Kansas, the son of George M. and Clem (Davis) Hampton.

On December 3, 1955, he married Betty Poe. On November 10, 1944, he married Marilyn Green in Ulysses, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughters; Cindy and husband Kevin Fenton, Holcomb, Kansas, Donna and husband Dave Schell, Ulysses, Kansas, Terri and husband Jeff Trotman, Ulysses, Kansas, three step-children; Jerry Mills, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jane Irsik, Mapleton, Kansas, Marshall Mills, Ulysses, Kansas; one sister Phyllis Milburn, Ulysses, Kansas, 17 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Charles, Robert, Dallas, Murel, Combs; five sisters, Lena Howard, Ila Hoyla, Mattie Highlander, Lizzie Lafever, LouSetta Bullock.

Reverend Bill Harrold and Pastor Gary Gregory officiated services at Shelton Memorial Christian Church, Ulysses, Kansas.
