Myrtle Elmore Jacobs, 89, of Valley View, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 1994, after a long illness. She was born Feb. 14, 1905, in Bloomfield community in Cooke County to Lee and Martha McFadden Elmore. She married Scott Jacobs on Dec. 29, 1926, in Cooke County. He died in 1981.
She lived in Breckenridge for six years and Throckmorton County for 25 years before returning to the Jacobs' home place in 1974. Mrs. Jacobs was a Baptist and a homemaker.
Service will be 2:30 pm Tuesday in Huff/Slay Funeral Chapel in Pilot Point with the Rev. Luther Slay officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Point Community Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane Armstrong of Valley View; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren. No family visitation is planned. Memorials may be made to Pilot Point Community Cemetery or Bloomfield School Relocation Fund.
