Faye Berniece Ackeret, 88, of Seattle, formerly of Lebanon, died March 12, 2005, at home.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on March 18 at Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery. A reception will follow at the First United Methodist Church in Lebanon.

She was born Aug. 7, 1916, in Havensville, Kansas, the daughter of Oscar and Manda (Perry) Loughmiller.

She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Kansas.

On June 22, 1935, she married Merle Ackeret.

She worked at Cascade Plywood in the 1950s.

She became a licensed practical nurse and worked for the Linn County Health Department. She retired in the early 1970s.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Lebanon, the Elks Lodge and Eastern Star.

Survivors are daughter Carol Lura of Seattle; daughters and sons-in-law Judy and George Beatty of La Mirada, Calif., Carrie and Ron Johnson of Cottonwood, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law Merle II and Kari Ackeret of Salem; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Merle, daughter Violet and a great-grandchild died before she did.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1890 S. Second St., Lebanon, OR 97355.
