J.B. Brown, 52, husband of Katherine Holcomb of 6 Forest St., Powell Mill, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mary Black Hospital after a long illness. Native of Cherokee County; son of Jennings Brown and Annie Mae Brown. Also surviving: daughter, Miss Diane Brown: son, Steven Lynn Brown; brother, Ralph Brown; sisters, Mrs. Hattie Horne and Mrs. Ruby Seay. Services 3 Monday at Saxon Baptist Church by Revs. Robert Edwards and Jack Giddings; burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
