R.C. Alexander, Sr., 81, of 152 Hall St., widower of Blanche Harris Alexander, died Monday morning at 3:55 in General Hospital a brief illness. Native of Spartanburg; son of the late Finch R. and Hattie Blackwood Alexander; member of First Baptist Church and the Baracca Sunday School Class; member of Elk's Club and American Legion; World War 1 veteran, first married to the late Altie Mae Sullivan Alexander. Surviving; Ralph C. Alexander Jr. Of Spartanburg; sister, Mrs. Janet A. Roberson of Cape Coral, Fla. Services 11 Wednesday at M.W. Bobo Funeral Chapel by the Dr. William L. Ball and the Rev Everett L. Lineberger; burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Frank Brock, Dr. William Ouzts, James Donald Genobles, Jack Cannon, F. Newman Sanders, Jesse J. Lawter and Guy Davenport. Family to receive friends 7-9 tonight at the chapel.
