Benny Lee Thompson, 62, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Benny was born Sept. 1, 1945. He graduated from Eastern Hills High School and was a longtime resident of Springtown. Benny retired from the Fort Worth Police Department in 2001 after 29 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Lee Nora Thompson.
Survivors: Daughter, Shea Lynn Thompson of Fort Worth; son, Taylor Lee Thompson of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister, Joyce Dalton of Pleasington; and a host of friends.
