SGT CECIL ADAMS VICTIM OF DROWNING
Sgt. Cecil H. Adams, age 40, drowned when he fell from a boat at Rose Lake, Fayetteville, North Carolina, on Thursday, March 19. He was 325th Infantry, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During World War II he served with the 101st Airborne Division, and had been in the Army 17 years.
Survivors are: the wife, Frances M. Rosier Adams of Fayetteville; one son, Jack Adams; one daughter, Jill Adams, both of Fayetteville; mother, Mrs. C. W. Hansen of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Ralph Adams of Dallas; and one sister, Mrs. Lillian McWhorter of Dallas.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 23, at Newcomb Baptist Church with the Rev. David Miller officiating. Burial was in Newcomb Cemetery.
