Funeral services for Henry Davis Jr., 80, of Leesville, were held Dec. 14, 2004 at 1 p.m. in Lone Star Pentecostal Church in Hineston, the Rev. Calvin Robinson officiated. Burial followed in Elisha Memorial Cemetery in Hineston under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Mr. Davis died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004 in the Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Maxine Davis.
Mr. Davis is survived by two sons, Teed Strother of Waco, Texas and Michael S. Davis of Florien; five daughters, Barbara Mann of Lake Charles, Betty Daniel of Leesville, Suzanne Phillips of Hornbeck, Marilyn Fercho of Conroe, Texas and Linda Erwin of Hicks; one brother, Vernon Davis of New Llano; one sister, Jewell Townley of Hineston; 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
