While there are several Charles Emerson soldiers, this one applied for his Civil War Pension on 03 Aug 1865 due to his invalid status from being wounded on 27 Jun 1865; mustering out at Louisville, KY. This filing also lists his widow Angenora "Nora" Vada Emerson and GrandDaug. Nora V. E. Jepsen. So reference to Maine service, is not this Charles Emerson.
