She married Joseph J. Kisner on Oct. 12, 1940 in Victoria. He died Sept. 1, 1966.
She was a homemaker and had worked as a nurse's aide at St. John's of Victoria Nursing Home and had worked for 19 years at the Holy Cross Church in Pfeifer. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Hays and former member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church an Holy Cross Altar Society of Pfeifer.
Survivors include a son, Harold of Denver; three daughters, Carol Perrer of Bassfield, Miss., Joan Dechant of Hays, Kay Ann Kisner of Denver; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Regina Prockish, Sophia Helget, Helen Sander, Josephine Thomas and Felicitas Riedel, and a brother, Richard Hammerschmidt.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pfeifer, with Father David Metz officiating; burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Pfeifer. A parish vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
