LAST RITES FOR W.B. REED

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Richards - Beck Chapel for William Benton Reed, 81, who died Monday at 12:30 a.m. enroute to a Sherman hospital, after an illness of five days.

Rev. R.L. Cates of Collinsville conducted the service. Burial was in the Collinsville Cemetery directed by Richards - Beck Funeral Home.

Mr. Reed was born Nov. 17, 1872 in Gunterville, Ala. He was married to Miss Mary Elizabeth Carter on August 18, 1895 in Denton. He was a barber and had retired after 57 years of service in Collinsville and Whitesboro. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Pallbearers were S.H. Richard, son; J.S. Cannady; H.W. Sanford and Jim Meyers.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, Virgil Reed, Dallas; James Reed, Blackwell, Okla.; Olin reed, McKinney; Maurice Reed, Gainesville; two daughters, Mrs. J.E. Burgin and Mrs. Shelby Sharp both of Whitesboro; one brother, John Reed, Collinsville; one sister, Mrs. Lou Northcott, Guthrie, Okla. and three great-grandchildren.
