REID Funeral services for John Laurie Reid, Jr., 69, who died Monday, July 1, 2002, will be held Friday at 11AM in George H. Hewell and Son Northside Funeral Home with Dr. Herb Reavis, Jr., officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday (Today) from 6-8PM at the Funeral Home. Mr. Reid was a native of Albany, GA and a longtime resident of Jacksonville, FL. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean Conflict. He had retired from Law Engineering after many years and was a member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of many years, Lois Jean Reid; 3 daughters, Catherine Jean Reid; Susan Marie Reid and Patricia Gall Worthington; 2 sons, John Laurie Reid, III, and Michael Joel Reid; 4 brothers, James Morris Reid, Robert Lee Reid, Jack Travis Reid and William E.
