HAZLEHURST -- James Clinton Bryant, 35, died Jan. 3 in the line of duty in Broxton. He was a lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County and a graduate of Jeff Davis High School and Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College Regional Police Academy. He was employed with the Lumber City and Broxton Police Department and was a member of the Graham Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Kathy Daniels Bryant of Hazlehurst; a daughterand a son; his mother, Zelphia Mae Bryant of Hazlehurst; his father, the Rev. Clinton Bryant; a sister, Teresa Bryant Williams of Sylvester; a brother, Roger Curtis Bryant of Hazlehurst; his maternal grandmother, Jimmie Lee Merchant of Douglas; and several nieces and nephews.
