Dan L. Batey, 55, of 1118 Bongard Circle, died at 4am Tuesday at his residence.

Funeral services: 2:30pm Thursday at Wilkirson-Hatch Chapel, with Rev. Ben R. Bush officiating, burial in Moore Cemetery, Chalk Bluff.

Survivors: Fiance, Mrs. Mable York of Bellmead; mother, Mrs. Marie Bost of Waco; four sons, Dan L. Batey, Jr. Melvin Batey, Rick Batey all of Cleburne, David Batey of Waco; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Peeples of Waco, Mrs. Stella Stevens of Greenville, Mrs. Bessie Mae Williams of San Antonio,; one brother W. B. Batey of Mt Calm, four grandchildren.
