Charles Altenhofen, age 49, a resident of Pierz, MN, died July 2, 1995, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN.

Funeral services were held July 5 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pierz with Father Ken Brenny officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Charles was born in Pierz, MN, on May 10, 1946, to the late William and Florence (Perusse) Altenhofen. He was a graduate of Pierz High School and went on to attend St. Cloud Business College where he obtained comprehensive education in business, accounting, typing, writing and English. He began his career as surpervisor of carriers for the St. Cloud Times, manager of Classified Ads and became office manager of the Little Falls Daily Transciript in 1974 until 1977. Charlie worked in advertising for Little Fall sDaily Transcript from 1977-1980 and become Production Coordinator until 1982. He was administrator of the Little Falls Moose Lodge in Little Falls from 1983 until 1986 when he became administrator of the St. Cloud Moose Lodge until 1989. He was administrator of the Long Prairie Moose Lodge from 1989 until 1991.

Survivors include brothers, Art of Robbinsdale, MN; William G. of St. Paul Park, MN; Leander "Lee" of Pierz and Jerome of Brooklyn Park, MN; sisters, Mrs. Jerry (Lucille) Lemke of Albany, MN; and Mrs. Ron (Betty) Fyten of Pierz. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Verner.

Honorary casketbearers were members of the St. Cloud Moose Lodge.

Casketbearers were Bill Lemke, Roger Borgheinck, Bill Clay, Dan Fyten, LeRoy Hoheisel and Lloyd Hoffman.
