Kenneth George Cartwright, age 56, a resident of Sedro Woolley, died Wednesday, June 27. He was born in Mountain View, Arkansas on February 18, 1934, the son of David and Sarah Cartwright.

He came to Washington State with his family in 1943 and they made their home in the Yakima Valley. Kenneth later moved to Pateros, Washington where he lived for many years and worked as a horticultural laborer in the Heath Nursery. He has been a resident of Sedro Woolley since 1970 and most recently was employed as a guard and watchman for the Dan Hinds Logging Company near Sedro Woolley.

Mr. Cartwright is survived by seven sisters, Ellen Passmore, Mount Vernon; Amy Butler, Sedro Woolley; Jane Blair, Startup; Trudy Yockey, Winthrop; Jeanie Eagleburger, Sedor Woolley; Mary Davison, Sedro Woolley; and Donna Brown, Bridgeport; four brothers, Danny Cartwright, Dealano, California; David Cartwright, Lake McMurray; John Cartwright, Sedro Woolley; and Lewis Cartwright, Bridgeport; and there are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Doris Borden.

Graveside services for Kenneth G. Cartwright were held at the Pateros Cemetery in Pateros, on Monday July 2.
