Martin R. Cooney, 87, an engineer, went home Wednesday, July 18, 2007.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Smithfield Cemetery. North Richland Hills.
Martin Cooney was born Sept. 11, 1919, in Faulkton, N.D. He completed a degree in engineering from the University of North Dakota after serving in the U.S. Signal Corps and the U.S. Air Force from 1940 to 1945. He was retired from General Dynamics.
Survivors: Wife, Pat; children, Jeanne and Martin; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
