John Bryant, Veteran of '61,
Dies Sunday
John Bryant, a well known old soldier living on west First street, died at seven o'clock yesterday morning of a complication of diseases. He was a member of the G. A. R. and the Eighth street Methodist Church. Mr. Bryant followed the stone masonry trade for a number of years. He is survived by the widow and one son.
Funeral will be held at two o'clock tomorrow at the home in charge of the Rev. C. M. Croft and interment will take place at Rose Hill cemetery.

John Bryant, an old soldier, aged about 75, died Sunday morning at 7 o'clock at his home on west 4th street. He had been suffering for some time with asthma and heart trouble. The wife died several years ago and there is one son left, Lorenzo Bryant. Mr. Bryant served in the civil war with a regiment from Kentucky and was a member of the G. A. R.
The funeral will be held at the residence Tuesday at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Kroft. The pall bearers will be Moses St. Clair, Henry Springer, J. T. Eller, William Hepley, Joel Eaton and W. J. Allan.
