Hettie Jewell Page joined her husband and Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, July 18, 2008. She passed away from congestive heart failure.

Hettie was born Feb. 13, 1930, in Lubbock, Texas, to Herman Benjamin Teague and Minnie Belle Stites Teague. She was the last surviving child of six. Hettie married Aulsie Douglas Page on May 14, 1949, in Artesia. They moved to the Farmington area in 1967. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2007. They had been married for more than 58 years.

Surviving Hettie are her children, Karen Jeannette Callahan of Artesia; Debra Jean Cummins (Thomas) of Durango; and Phillip Douglas Page (Wendy) of Gilbert Ariz., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Hettie was a loving wife and mother. She was a wonderful cook and her holiday meals always was a joyful time for the Page family. She also loved gardening, was an avid reader and dedicated Christian. She cared deeply for her church family and looked forward to Friday afternoons, where she would laugh and fellowship with her Senior Christian group, from the First Assembly of God church, playing "Mexican Train Dominos."
The family wishes to thank the following, who provided loving, caring aid during her illness: Wendy Page, Dr. Kompare, Dr. Spence and San Juan Basin Home Health, specifically, Candy Flores.

Visitation for Hettie is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, July 21 at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home. Services are at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, also at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dewayne Bardwell officiating. Internment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 6450, Farmington, N.M. 87499.
