Rutledge 'RB' White Age 67, of Winston, Oregon, died Wednesday, July 15, 2008, after losing his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on August 24, 1940, in Sumter, South Carolina, but lived most of his working life in Roseburg, Oregon. He served our country for eight years, while in the U.S. Navy as a CEW2. From 1965 through 1966 he saw duty in the Vietnam War where he received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; National Defense Service Medal; First Good Conduct Medal and the Fleet Marine Force Combat Operations Insignia. He retired in 2003 after being employed as a Electrician/Technician with the Roseburg Forest Products for 27 years. He was a hard worker with exemplary technical skills and enjoyed his work. He enjoyed fishing and camping along the North Umpqua River.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Betty; child, Maleaha; step-children, Melissa Watts and Craig Charon of Winston. He also leaves children from previous marriage, Karen Wheeler of Salem, Oregon; Marcy Lehto of Coos Bay, Oregon; as well as the children he raised, Kyle White of Glide, Oregon and Kelly Ogden. He has five grandchildren, Brittany, Emily, Brandon, Alex and Audrey.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, July 18, 2008, at the Roseburg National Cemetery with the Chaplain Karen Iovin,officiating. Military rites will be offered by the VFW District Twelve Honor Guard. Memorial donations may be made to Umpqua Bank c/o Melissa Watts. Arrangements are under the direction of Taylor's Family Mortuary.
